Día de los Muertos at the City of Raleigh Museum (free)
The City of Raleigh Museum's 10th annual Day of the Dead celebration fills the downtown museum with a community altar, young poets reading calaveritas, live music and violins, folkloric dance, hot chocolate, traditional bread and atole, face painting and family crafts. Free for all ages.
This year's celebration is part of the El Quixote Festival and honors printmaker José Guadalupe Posada, whose calaveras shaped Día de los Muertos art (shared by Raleigh Parks).
